01What we collect

To provide the service, we collect only what we need:

• Your name, email address, and phone number.
• Pickup address and airport handoff details, including travel timing.
• Booking details: bag count, weights, and add-ons.
• Chain-of-custody records: photos of your bags at pickup and the numbered seal assigned to each bag.
• Messages you send us through the contact form, by email, or by phone.

02Why we collect it

We use this information to run your booking: confirming it, coordinating pickup and handoff, documenting custody of your bags, processing refunds, and responding to your questions. We also keep records where the law requires it, such as tax and accounting records.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for third-party advertising.

03Payments

Payments are processed by our payment provider. Your full card number never touches our systems and we do not store it. The payment provider handles your card details under its own privacy policy.

04Sharing

We share personal information only where needed to deliver the service or where the law requires it:

• Service providers such as our payment processor, email service, and website host.
• A referring hotel, limited to what is needed to coordinate your pickup.
• Law enforcement or regulators where legally required.

05Retention and security

We keep booking records, including pickup photos and seal logs, only as long as operationally and legally required, then delete them. Records are stored securely with access limited to people who need them to run the service.

06Cookies

Our website uses cookies only as needed for the site and booking form to work. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

07Your rights

We handle personal information under Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or withdraw consent where the law allows. Write to us through the contact form or email hello@bagdrop.ca and we will respond within the time PIPA allows.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
